Ingredients

  • 450g Green Beans, trimmed
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 4-6 cloves of garlic, minced
  • Salt, pepper
  • Red Chili flakes (optional)

Instructions

  • Bring 5 cups of water to a rolling boil
  • Blanche the green beans by placing them in the boiling water for 3-5 minutes (depending on thickness).
  • Drain the green beans and quickly rinse in very cold water to halt the cooking process
  • Heat olive oil in a sautée pan. Add beans, garlic, salt, and red pepper flakes (if desired). Cook for 2-5 minutes until beans are warmed through but not yet wilted
